I'm loooking for suggestions for a place to take sailing lessons her ein Seattle. I live in wallingford. I would even be interested in taking lessons from a knowledgable sailor rather than from a club.

I took lessons at the Center for Wooden Boats on lake union. It was a good introductory class with a strong emphesis on hands-on learning. Lake Union is a pretty good place to learn to sail, because she constantly shifting winds make for "interesting challanges",

    I recommend them.

      I totally agree!!!!!!!
The Center for Wooden Boats is not only inexpensive but it's packed full of knowledgeable sailors that love to share their experiences with people that want to learn!
I volunteered for the center in the last decade of the 20th century before I sailed to Hawaii and the lessons I learned in that little lake I have taken with me the entire way!
      Good call Mike!
