I'm loooking for suggestions for a place to take sailing lessons her ein Seattle. I live in wallingford. I would even be interested in taking lessons from a knowledgable sailor rather than from a club.

Re: Sailing lessons
Sun, July 29, 2007 - 8:46 PMI took lessons at the Center for Wooden Boats on lake union. It was a good introductory class with a strong emphesis on hands-on learning. Lake Union is a pretty good place to learn to sail, because she constantly shifting winds make for "interesting challanges",
I recommend them. -

Re: Sailing lessons
Tue, August 21, 2007 - 7:28 PMI totally agree!!!!!!!
The Center for Wooden Boats is not only inexpensive but it's packed full of knowledgeable sailors that love to share their experiences with people that want to learn!
I volunteered for the center in the last decade of the 20th century before I sailed to Hawaii and the lessons I learned in that little lake I have taken with me the entire way!
Good call Mike!
